У п’ятницю, 24 листопада, учні Гопчицької середньої школи 9, 10, 11 класів, а також учителі та директор краєзнавчого музею відвідали Меморіал жерт Голодомору в Києві.
Екскурсовод розповів школярам про причини, наслідки та масштаби Голодомору 1932-1933 років – злочину комуністичної влади проти українського народу.
Поїздка учнів і вчителів Гопчицької школи в Київ і відвідування Меморіалу стала можливою завдяки фінансовій підтримці директора підприємства ТОВ “Веремій” Юрія Жорняка.
“Окремо хочу подякувати від усієї громади села Юрію Жорняку за те, що забезпечив поїздку школярів до Меморіалу жертв Голодомору. Потрібно, щоб молодь не забувала про нашу історію, минуле села, масштаби і глибину трегедії голодомору. Важливо, щоб усі ми усвідомлювали, яку велику ціну українці заплатили за свою свободу”, – каже сільський голова Роман Прилуцький.
В Гопчиці також пройшов мітинг пам’яті за жертвами Голодомору, нашими односельчанами, які загинули в ці голодні роки. Лише за офіційними даними протягом 1933-1932 років в Гопчиці загинуло 195 людей – переважно діти і люди похилого віку. Їх прізвища та імена, а також причина смерті занесені в Національну книгу пам’яті жертв Голодомору.
До річниці вшанування жертв Голодомору в гопчицькому краєзнавчому музеї відкрилась окрема експозиція, присвячена цій жахливій сторінці історії України і нашого села. В ній зокрема представлений список 195 наших односельчан – жертв Голодомору 1932-1933 років.
