В Україні 8 травня в День пам’яті та примирення згадують жертв Другої світової війни, 9 травня відзначають День перемоги над нацизмом.
Громада Гопчиці привітала ветерана Другої світової Скарбовійчука Івана Васильовича та вдову ветерана Загинайло Ольгу Павлівну з Днем перемоги.
Також 9 травня сільський голова Роман Прилуцький, директор краєзнавчого музею Гопчиці Михайло Петренко, представник фермерського господарства “Дружба-Л” Олександр Тарасюк та член волонтерської групи Погребищенського району Луценко Микола Захарович поклали квіти та коровай від громади Гопчиці до пам’ятника солдатам-землякам, які загинули у Другій світовій.
“Ніколи знову”, — під цим гаслом ми вже традиційно відзначаємо День пам’яті і примирення та День перемоги над нацизмом. Гопчиця втратила сотні своїх жителів, зазнала значних руйнувань і втрат у Другій світовій.
На фронти з Гопчиці було мобілізовано понад 600 жителів, 213 з них не повернулась додому. На роботи до Німеччини було вивезено понад 60 наших односельчан. Крім того, після невдалого нападу партизан на німецьку радіостанцію та вбивство двох німців у 1943 році каральний загін розстріляв за станцією Рось 21 жителів Гопчиці. Ми маємо пам’ятати, яку високу ціну довелось заплатити для перемоги у Другій світовій.
Зараз, на жаль, питання війни та миру для України знову є актуальним. У нас шостий рік триває війна, Росія окупувала Крим та частину Донбасу. Ми маємо пам’ятати уроки історії та гуртуватись, адже лише взаємна підтримка та єдність допоможуть нам знову здобути перемогу”, – зазначив сільський голова Гопчиці Роман Прилуцький.
